VISION

Our vision is to provide a world class education for our children and young people based on the following principles:

  • Passionate belief that every child deserves an equal chance of a successful future
Every school should have their own unique ethos based upon the overall values of the trust
  • School leaders should be active in the strategic development of the trust
An ambitious curriculum journey from pre school to post 19
Supports schools from 5-16 years old
Backroom support that means schools can spend more time on learning
High standards and outcomes both academically and socially
Leaders are equally responsible for everyone within our trust and work together
Teaching and learning is at the heart of everything we do
Governors should be freed up in order to spend more time supporting the leadership teams
Children and families should be supported both within and beyond the classroom (see our work with RCS Ltd and Little Sunlights)
Schools requiring support should have access to high quality leaders and support

EDUCATION

We set out to teach pupils in a well-ordered happy and caring environment, and aim to give every pupil high levels of achievement combined with social success.

We have a distinctive ethos that successfully combines success and achievement within a happy, supportive and caring environment. It is very important to us that every child should have an opportunity to thrive within a highly personalised curriculum that recognises the diversity of talent within our pupils.

Our teaching staff are highly skilled and fully qualified experts in their curriculum areas and work closely with the pupils to make sure that their programmes of study are matched to their individual needs. We understand that outstanding learning takes place when all members develop positive ‘habits of mind’

The ethos of the school is to encourage pupils to do well and feel good about themselves by celebrating and rewarding their achievements. The rewards system is comprehensive and detailed and there are numerous other certificates and badges given by individual subjects

Looking to join a trust?

GMAT have a reputation for both supporting schools in challenging circumstances and also working in partnership with schools that want to be part of a wider trust family. Post pandemic, we are now seeking partner schools in all categories and phases who share our core beliefs and values. Please read our Scheme of Delegation to find out how our trust supports and delegates authority to schools. This can be found here

Joining GMAT – School/MAT Partnerships

The DfE recently announced a partnership ‘try before you buy’ scheme whereby schools can enter a partnership with a trust for up to two years and then decide if they want to become a full member of the trust. GMAT is keen to support this route, as it gives both parties the opportunity to experience the benefits of being in a trust. If this element is of interest, then please discuss with our Executive Leader.

Whether it is a partnership or full membership we are keen to hear from you.

If the above resonates and excites you then please contact our Executive Leader, Jonathan de Sausmarez, for an informal, confidential conversation. Please email here or feel free to ring 07825518494.

You will have noticed that GMAT are excited to welcome Gwennan Harrison-Jones as the new Executive Leader from September 2022. She comes full of ambition for the trust which makes this an idea time for any school who wants to be at the start of our growth as a trust. We can arrange a meeting with Gwennan if required.

Alternatively, please complete the form below and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
